Wallet

Vanna is set up and tested with Backpack. Install the Backpack browser extension and create (or import) a wallet. Use a test wallet. Nothing on the fork is real money, but there is no reason to expose a wallet that holds real funds.

Add the Vanna RPC to your wallet

Vanna runs on a Solana mainnet fork. The app already reads and sends every transaction through the fork RPC, but your wallet also needs it: otherwise the wallet shows your real Mainnet balances and simulates transactions against Mainnet, so previews look wrong or fail.
The purple strip at the top of every page shows this URL with a Copy button.

Open Backpack

Open the Backpack extension. With its default RPC it shows your public Mainnet balances, not the fork.

Open Settings

Click the account icon (top left), then Settings.

Select Solana

Click Solana (not Solana Devnet).

Open RPC Connection

Click RPC Connection. It shows Backpack Default RPC until you change it.

Choose Custom

Click Custom.

Paste the Vanna RPC and click Update

Paste https://rpc-devnet.solana.vanna.finance into the RPC field and click Update.

Backpack now shows Custom Rpc: https://rpc-devnet.solana.vanna.finance at the top of the wallet panel, and your balances match the app. Reload test.solana.vanna.finance if it was already open.
Running the stack on your own machine? Use your local node http://127.0.0.1:8899 instead (see Developer Setup).

Connect

  1. Open test.solana.vanna.finance.
  2. Click the wallet button at the top right and pick Backpack.
  3. Approve the connection. Your shortened address appears in the header.
  4. Wait a moment for balances and any existing margin account to load from the fork.
The first time you open the site you may be asked for an access code. Enter it once; your browser remembers it for 30 days.

Same wallet, same account

Your margin account is derived from your wallet address. Reconnect with the same wallet to return to the same collateral, debt, Farm and Predict positions. A different address has a different account.
