Anyone can call public_liquidate when health is at or below 1.1.

What happens

  1. The program rebuilds the full position set and confirms the account is unhealthy.
  2. The liquidator repays up to 50% of one debt asset (CLOSE_FACTOR_BPS = 5_000).
  3. They receive collateral of equal USD value plus the asset’s liquidation bonus.
  4. Remaining equity stays with the account.
Partial liquidation is the design. One call does not have to wipe the account.

What you should do as a trader

Keep health comfortably above 1.1. Reduce Farm or Perps size before a known volatile open. Repay from wallet if the vault is stuck in a Kamino receipt — or use the product close path. See Liquidation math if you are writing a bot.
